There are potentially fatal diseases that can be prevented through proper vaccination of your animal, e.g. parvovirus in dogs. Please note that each vaccination includes a thorough clinical examination of your pet. This will allow us to pick up on any medical problems early.
Quirindi Vet Clinic’s recommended vaccination schedule is as follows.
For Dogs
Initially… | 6-8 weeks | C3 (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus = DHP) |
12-14 weeks | C5 (DHP + Kennel Cough)
16-18 weeks | C5 (DHP + Kennel Cough)
Then… | Annually | C5 (DHP + Kennel Cough) |
QVC does also stock C3 vaccines that can be given every 3 years. Please note that kennel cough prevention remains as an annual vaccination.
For Cats
Initially… | 6-8 weeks | F3 (Herpesvirus, Calicivirus, Feline Enteritis Virus) |
12-14 weeks | F3 | |
14-18 weeks | F3 | |
Then… | Annually | F3 |
Ask our vets about the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) vaccination.
Other small animals and livestock
Note that vaccinations are not just for dogs and cats, rabbits, ferrets, horses and livestock also require them in certain instances.
