Microchipping Dogs and Cats

Microchipping is a legal obligation of pet owners. It also helps us return missing animals to owners that come into the clinic, as there is a database with the microchip number in it.

This simple quick procedure involves placing a microchip under the skin in between the shoulder blades of your animal.

All animals, both dogs and cats legally should be microchipped, including working dogs. New pups and kittens should be microchipped by 3 months of age and registered with the local council by 6 months of age. Registered breeders are legally required to microchip animals before selling them.

Microchipping is also available for horses.

Contact us to make a booking to microchip your animal.
